In-roof solar built into your new roof across the Fylde Coast
Integrated, or in-roof, solar allows photovoltaic panels to sit within the roof covering rather than mounted over the top of it, for a cleaner, more streamlined finish. As roofing contractors, The Roofers Blackpool install the complete in-roof roofing system (battens, trays, flashing and panels) and feed the cables into the building. A trusted specialist solar subcontractor then completes the electrical work, commissioning and MCS certification. It is best suited to new roofs and re-roofs, where the roofing and solar can be planned together from the outset.
As roofing contractors, our focus is making sure the in-roof system is correctly incorporated into the roof covering, with careful attention to setting out, weathering, ventilation and the surrounding slate or tile details. By working with the same specialist solar contractor on our integrated solar projects, the roofing layout, panel system and electrical requirements are coordinated from the planning stage rather than treated as separate jobs.
We install the complete in-roof roofing system, including battens, trays, flashing and solar panels, before completing the surrounding slate or tile roof covering and feeding the panel cables into the building. The electrical installation is then completed by our trusted specialist solar subcontractor, who carries out the internal cable routing, inverter and battery installation, commissioning and MCS certification.
Our 15-year workmanship guarantee applies to the roofing works associated with supplied and fitted new roofs and roof replacements, including our installation of the in-roof solar roofing system. Electrical works, solar equipment and associated certification are covered separately by the relevant installer and manufacturer terms.

Recently had our roof replaced after finding it had spray foam insulation.We chose The Roofers Blackpool after reading the reviews and meeting Mark when he came out to quote. He came across as knowledgeable, explained everything clearly and gave us confidence that they knew what they were doing.The work started when they said it would and the team were well organised throughout. They had some mixed weather to deal with, from what felt like constant rain to the recent heatwave, but they kept the job moving and worked through it all.Removing the spray foam insulation can’t have been an easy job, but they got it all out and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards, both inside and outside. You’d hardly know the work had been done.The biggest reassurance was that Building Control inspected the work during the job and again once it was finished. Everything was signed off with no issues, and the inspector was very complimentary about the standard of the work.Overall, we’re really pleased with the finished roof and the service we received. I’d happily recommend The Roofers Blackpool to anyone looking to have similar work carried out.
