The Roofers Blackpool is a family run roofing company covering Blackpool, Lytham St Annes and the wider Fylde Coast. We handle everything from full roof replacements and new-build roofs to slate, tile and stone work, flat roofing, leadwork, repairs and integrated solar, and we take real pride in the standard of every finish.
Roofing has been part of our family for generations. Mark's grandfather worked as a roofer from the 1960s until his retirement in 2017, passing the trade on and teaching Terry, Mark's father, from the 1980s. Mark later learned the trade and, after leaving the British Army in 2015, set up The Roofers alongside Terry. They both still run it today as The Roofers Blackpool Ltd.
It is that combination of family roofing experience, paired with the values Mark learned in the armed forces, that gives the business its ethos: professionalism, integrity and always working to the highest possible standard.
Our values run through everything we do. Integrity means being straight about what a roof needs and what it does not. Professionalism means clear quotations, good communication and respect for your property. Self-discipline means doing the work properly even where the details are not visible from the ground. High standards mean following the specification and good roofing practice rather than cutting corners.

Recently had our roof replaced after finding it had spray foam insulation.We chose The Roofers Blackpool after reading the reviews and meeting Mark when he came out to quote. He came across as knowledgeable, explained everything clearly and gave us confidence that they knew what they were doing.The work started when they said it would and the team were well organised throughout. They had some mixed weather to deal with, from what felt like constant rain to the recent heatwave, but they kept the job moving and worked through it all.Removing the spray foam insulation can’t have been an easy job, but they got it all out and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards, both inside and outside. You’d hardly know the work had been done.The biggest reassurance was that Building Control inspected the work during the job and again once it was finished. Everything was signed off with no issues, and the inspector was very complimentary about the standard of the work.Overall, we’re really pleased with the finished roof and the service we received. I’d happily recommend The Roofers Blackpool to anyone looking to have similar work carried out.

Fantastic roofing company - I’ve already recommended to several friends!Mark and his dad re-roofed our 1898 Victorian semi in 2023. They salvaged about 70% of the original slate, keeping costs down and Mark did the most incredible lead work we weren’t even expecting. They also replaced the concrete porch tiles with a slate roof to match the main roof. Not only did it look fantastic we felt extremely smug under it as the winter came on afterwards!Highly recommended - and I’ve had a lot of tradespeople work on our house Reno, Mark and the Roofers are amongst the best.

A full re-roof normally involves removing the existing covering, inspecting the roof structure, and renewing the membrane, battens and covering with the specified ridge detail and any leadwork, valleys and ventilation the property needs. The exact specification depends on the property and system, so we advise on what your roof actually requires.
In most cases, yes. We work with a wide range of tile and slate types and will source the closest match for repairs, or advise on the best modern equivalent for a full replacement.
It depends on the repair, the access and what is involved, so we always give you a clear price before any work starts. Send us a few photos with your enquiry and we can often advise on the likely cause before we visit.
We respond quickly to leaks, slipped tiles and storm damage. Call us as soon as you notice a problem and we will get to you as fast as we can to make the roof safe and watertight.
Where it is safe, place a container under the leak indoors and move anything valuable clear. Then send us a photo and a description. We will diagnose the likely cause and arrange to assess and fix it.
Absolutely. If a roof is near the end of its life and repairs would only be a short-term fix, we will tell you honestly and set out your options. We would rather give you the right advice than sell you work you do not need.
Yes. Alongside the roof itself we handle chimney repairs and repointing, leadwork, and fascias, soffits and guttering, so the whole roofline is sound and weathertight.
Integrated, or in-roof, solar sits flush within the roof covering rather than being bolted on top, for a neater, more streamlined finish. We install the roofing side (battens, trays, flashing and panels) and a specialist solar subcontractor completes the electrical work, commissioning and MCS certification.
Yes, and it is the best time to do it. Fitting integrated solar while we re-roof means the panels are built into the finished roof properly, with no retrofit brackets and a cleaner, more durable result.
Our 15-year workmanship guarantee covers the roofing works on supplied and fitted new roofs and re-roofs, including our installation of the in-roof solar roofing system. The electrical works, solar equipment and certification are handled by our specialist solar subcontractor and covered separately by the relevant installer and manufacturer terms.
